As far as pizzerias and Italian restaurants, Mione's was more than adequate, offering a nice selection of pies (by the slice or whole), as well as other Italian foods. We sampled several of their pizza slices, and we found them very good. Their stuffed veggie pizza was nicely done, with plenty of veggies, ricotta and mozzarella inside a light and tender crust. Just the way we hoped it would be. Their white pizza was delicious, and was NOT overly cheesed or too heavy. My daughter ordered the Hawaiian pizza, which I found suprisingly flavorful - not too salty or overloaded with pineapple. My only disappointment was their Chicago-style pizza, which was a deep-dish pie, with plenty of tomato and sausage, but hardly any cheese. I wish there had been table service. There is a similar place near our home, where people ordering pizzas and slices tend to pile up, making the counter a chaotic area. Utensils were plastic and obtained from dispensers, making a delicious meal into a takeout-type offering. As for the ambiance, despite the warm humid weather, the inside of the restaurant seemed almost as warm and humid as outside. When I think of what Italian food should be, I'd like a bit more, for the money I pay.

Pretty close to NY style but a couple of things were off. First, the dough was salty, now it could just be the one batch. But there was also a small amount of sauce, and the cheese was fairly inexpensive. All in all, similar style but not the same quality I am used to.

Customer service is not the greatest... all of the employees were just kind of standing around talking to eachother. When I approached the counter no one asked if they could take my order or help me and didn't bother to tell me how long my order would take. I got home with the pizza and found a long hair under the cheese mixed with the sauce. Gross. I give 2 stars bc my Dad really likes the pizza.

Miones in my opinion has some of the best pizza. My usual is the stuffed veggie with lots of ricotta and spinach. Light crispy crust with a hint of garlic.. heaven.

Some of the BEST pizza around! Huge slices! Thin crust and mouth watering! Carry out is great and staff is always super happy!

An Italian pizza shop with far more than the usual variety. Don't want a flat slice? So have a calzone or stromboli. Something more substantial? Have a stuffed pizza. Don't want a whole pizza? Order a slice, with numerous choices ready to order. Also subs, pasta with veal, eggplant, chicken, etc., burgers, a couple seafood options, and more. It's casual dining, Bright, clean open kitchen. It's roomy with a comfortable but busy atmosphere. order at the counter, eat at the tables or take-out. You won't feel in the way while waiting for take-out; there's plenty of space to hang out. Traveling through Ocean City, we needed a quick lunch and this was recommended. So this is a first impression only. We ordered two strombolis to go: an Italian and Chicken/Broccoli; $8.50 each. Served with tomato sauce on the side. Both very good, even though they had cooled by the time we ate them an hour later. The right balance of filling and crust, so you get filling with every bite without constantly spilling the filling while you're eating. You won't find trendy "gourmet" toppings here such as lox, shaved truffles, waygu beef, etc. here, just the standard Italian items. Nothing wrong with that!

As cliché as it is to say in a review, this was hands-down the best pizza I've had in my life. No kidding. The crust, the sauce, the cheese, the toppings - everything was perfect and fantastically delicious. I am both happy and sad I visited this place as a tourist. If I lived near it, I would be in serious trouble!

Yes!! My new fave pizza place out here. Lots of options, can order pizza by the slice. Excellent food. We tried the pepperoni slice, white pizza slice with ricotta, broccoli, tomato, stuffed meat pizza and the Sicilian.

The food was very good and not expensive at all. I ordered Manicotti and salad. No complaints at all. And from the looks of it the pizza was very big and a good size portion.

THE worst pizza ever! The customer service was pretty good though. Making the trip down to Ledo's will be well worth it!

Best pizza I've ever had hands down! We ordered a large round pizza, medium stuffed pizza and hot wings. It was also ready earlier than the given time. The food had so much flavor! It's definitely marked down as my favorite pizza in OC!

Good pizza. Couldn't find a better one in ocmd. Their pizza are NY style. We never order other stuff like pasta because we're Italian and we can make that stuff at home. So we only go there for pizza and calzones.

Wonderful food! Great experience! My 16 month old son loves the pasta and meatballs. I had pizza and my husband had a Stromboli.

I brought my family to Mione's this past weekend and was disappointed w the pizza and time it took to get served. I had high expectations given what I read on some of the Yelp reviews and it was average at best and the time it took to get our pizza was ridiculous - the garlic sticks were really good though. I like a crisp crust on my pizza which theirs is soft and we got a sausage and pepperoni pizza and a calzone but the toppings weren't fresh or very tasty and sparse. I liked the atmosphere and it was clean and not too loud but felt a little uncomfortable with a young family. The biggest item of complaint was the woman taking orders and how long it took her to figure out what we wanted and get served - we were there an hour and a half total for pizza and a calzone. I am willing to give it another try since maybe they were having a bad day but not happy so far w better options around.

My family had lunch at Mione's on our way out of Ocean City this weekend. They are located on Rt. 50 in the Tanger Outlet Shopping Center. We are very happy to eat here before leaving! They've got a great variety of pizzas by the slice. We tried their white pizza, chicken/bacon/ranch pizza and their buffalo chicken. Everything we tried was insanely delicious! We also had their brocolli bites...breaded, deep-fried nuggets of cheese, brocolli and bacon. They also had strombolis, stuffed pizza and chicago-style pies...all looked great. Don't come here looking to keep you beach bod....this is the stuff you allow yourself to indulge while on vacation. Definitely plan to revisit the next time we are in town....just need to budget an extra 20 minutes of cardio afterwards!!

Food is great! Everything is good! The pizza is great and the steak & cheese is phenomenal! We love the quick service concept. Don't have to pay a tip for table side service. Order your food at the counter, take it with you, or eat in their dining room, or on the deck.

It's just the average pizza place. The garlic sticks were amazing. The pizza, sandwiches, and calzones were standard from the average pizza place. Those were the only good points. The service was poor to fair at best. The woman behind the cash register had no clues how to ring an order. It took her 10 minutes to figure out how to put a pizza order in. She told us it would be a while. 45 minutes later our pizza came out. The bus boy by accidentally spilled the sauce to our garlic sticks. He didn't replace them.

This place is really good. I've only had the pepperoni pizza, but everything looks and smells great. They also have burgers, fries, spaghetti and such, so it's not just all pizza and subs. Customer service is very good, with everyone smiling and friendly. Great place to get some classic comfort food.

Absolutely love the pizza here. The garlic knots are awesome as well. Don't miss this!

Awesome pizza. It's so sad to hear naysayers. They are most likely people that think Pizza Hut is how good pizza is supposed to taste. You gotta try the specialty pies. The veggie pizza with broccoli, tomatoes, and ricotta cheese is probably what I'll order if I'm ever on death row. And this is coming from a guy who used to order nothing but meat on his pizzas. Speaking of meat, you gotta try the stuffed meat pizza if you like mushrooms. Crust on the top and bottom. Delicious sauce. And who could forget the pasta pizza. Stuffed with Ziti and ricotta it makes me come back over and over again. Been living on the shore for 30 years and have traveled far and wide. This is definitely a unique place that makes me yearn for it when I'm far away from home.

Went today with the wife even though we swore off this place a year or so ago because we couldn't remember why. I ordered a small cheesesteak and to my surprise it had Steak-umms between the buns, Yuk. If you like a roll that's hard or crispy on the outside this is not the roll although it was fresh. The salad was small for the price but the wife said it was ok. Now, the two slices of pizza were just plain bland, the dough is not all that good and there was almost no cheese. ($3 each with 1 topping) The mushroom topping had a bunch of green stuff in it that seemed to be some sort of parsley but there was also a stem so who knows? I really wished I could bring better news but it is not there with the food. The staff was friendly and there were plenty of them. You will pay for refills and any extra sauces, dressings, dips and they also charge for the tap water.

I called, put in an order, GAVE THEM MY NUMBER AND ADDRESS, asked if I could pay over the phone, and asked how long it would take. As it turns out, an hour later, they don't deliver (with all that information, they could have made it clear or called me back). I then went to actually pick up the pizza, and they had given it away. They then proceeded to be assholes about it.

Update on previous post..... Needed to mention everyone in our group that ate the remade cheesesteaks were extremely sick to their stomachs later that evening. I don't think it was coincidental. I truly wish we could place negative stars....... It was THAT bad.

When I pulled into the parking lot of the Tanger outlet shopping center, I thought Miones was going to be another mediocre fast food place. Saying I eat a lot of pizza is an understatement, so when I say the pizza here is delicious I have a lot to compare it with. The garlic bread had fresh garlic on it and not the processed garlic spread; that made the flavor of the garlic bread amazing. Love the southern hospitality of the staff.

I got a pizza there and let me tell you i really need a double dose of prilosec. I'm talking about larry the cable guy riding around in a pick up filled with prilosec. Acidy tomatoes. Heartburn central. Sad that this is one of the only lunch places around

Best pizza in Ocean City. I had a slice of the roasted veggie and a slice of the salad pizza. The salad pizza is a new concept to me, Greek salad on a white pizza. It was amazing.

This place keeps me coming back time after time Pros - Tasty food and good ingredients - Fast friendly service - Most food cooked to order, open kitchen - Not cheap, but good value for the money - Plenty of parking in strip mall - Fresh tomato basil pizza, very hard to find - They appear to use real oil in the crust instead of hydrogenated oils (gross). - So far my meals have been pizza and salads, the sandwiches looked very good but I haven't tried them. Cons - The ubiquitous flies that you find in all Ocean City restaurants. - The salads tend to be too small for the money, the romaine is cheap so why not serve more of it? Recommendation Strong recommend for dine in or carry out

Solid pie here. It's not Brooklyn by any means but it's the closest you'll find on the Eastern Shore. If you are in OC and need pizza, this is it. Plus, $8 extra-large cheese on Thursdays!

Consistently great food every time. We have been visiting this pizzeria for years and years. Before i was married, when we were a young married couple and now with our children. The service is pretty friendly and fast. The pizza is out of this world, the cheese calzone is a family favorite and the fries are A plus! The spaghetti is excellent, the pasta pizza is tasty and unique. Everything is great! Even better when they are busy! To sum it up, this could be my favorite pizza ever.

Went here for a quick lunch in the off season. We ordered the manicotti and were hugely disappointed. We got 2 small noodles that were most definitely from frozen. It also came with 2 "bread sticks". I was hoping that they wouldn't be those doughy greasy soft things you see so often in places like Olive Garden, but they were. I hate those things. They are what my father used to call "dough balls". For the price we paid for this meal, it should have been so much better. Haven't tried the pizza, but I sure hope it's better than what we had.

really really good pizza, many fresh pizza/calzone/stromboli choices. excellent amount of cheese! decor reminiscent of pizza places from the 70's with the little fake wood booths you can't go wrong with a slice of pizza for two dollars at the beach!

Try Mione's Italian sub. Delicious!!! Love that place!

  • Steve W.

I got two pizza's for pick-up here. One pepperoni and one mushroom to go. They were quick to have them ready. The pizza was OK to good but given the price I was a bit disappointed. I was expecting a superior product to what I can pick-up at Domino's and it wasn't. The saving grace for them was the leftover pizza heated up really well which is always a major plus. I'll probably give them a go again to see if this was an off day but I think better pizza can be had in this town.

Good selection of Pizzas. Typical Italian Carry Out Good Ny Style , sicilian and other types of Pizzas Not as good as deleware Pizzas but the best in OC. Good prices and sizes.

  • Jason T.

No Free Refills and they nickel and dime you. The food was ok. There was 4 of us so we got Subs, Pizza and Pasta. The Subs were stuffed with meat and were pretty good. The Pizza and Pasta were ok. What really makes me give this place 3 stars in the price and the fact that my wife ordered a small drink and during her meal wanted a refill. They told her it would be $.50. I just spent $38.00 on lunch and I can't even get a free refill!!!! Give me a break. Also if you want a side of Ranch expect to pay another $.25!!! I don't see us returning to this place, however they probably don't care because it is in a big tourist area.

Delicious food and probably Ocean City's best pizzeria. The pizza's aren't as good as what you'd get further up north like Jersey or NY but still very good. I doubt you'll leave unsatisfied. The prices are a bit on the high end though, for a pizza joint. I love their white and stuffed pizzas and cheesesteaks are really good as well.

My wife is a Long Island transplantee. She tells me that this is the best pizza that she has had off of the Island -- and I believe her! It's terrific! The Mione's themselves are NY-born but transplanted themselves down to OC. Sure, the decor is nothing special. What do you expect? It's a neighborhood pizza joint. But the price is reasonable and the food outstanding!

  • Amanda F.

My husband and I are huge pizza lovers and this is by far the WORST pizza place we have ever eaten at. The service isn't much better either. They are way overpriced, which I wouldn't mind so much if the pizza was great, but it's not. Don't bother with this place- I would suggest Fat Daddy's or Lombardi's they are both excellent!

Upon my last visit to Mione's, I had to wait quite a bit to pick up my call in order. However, if you have ever had their pizza you wouldn't mind this one bit. They are always busy at lunch and dinner time. The crust is my favoriter in town too. This family owned business will surely be around for many more years. Once you've been in, you will keep coming back.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
